For his exhibition in Martin-Gropius-Bau “Innen Stadt Außen” ( Inner City Out)  - on show until August 9th 2010 –  the artist Olafur Eliasson and his team placed this bike around the corner of my house!
Just next door to my local Vietnamese “Toca Rouge”. They do great food, but they must have had all their Christmases happen at once. So many people stopped by to take a photograph of the icicle bike, that surely they took the opportunity to grab a bite. Apparently other pieces of art were placed across Berlin. What a great way of PR-ing your exhibition! While eating my favorite duck on orange dish, I hear about more bicycles with mirrors instead of rubber wheels. And of big mirrors placed in parks. The hunt is on for other Eliasson  installations.
